Commissioning a portrait is more than just a gift—it’s a timeless keepsake that captures the essence of a person and becomes a cherished piece for years to come. Through my process, I strive to go beyond what is visible, using my artist’s perspective and heart to convey the sitter’s unique energy and spirit. Each portrait is a collaboration, merging your vision with my artistic interpretation to create something significant.
Please reach us at cristinafineart@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
It all begins with a friendly, no-obligation chat where we discuss your vision for the portrait. This can be in person, over the phone, or via video call. We’ll review your preferences for size, composition (e.g., full figure, head and shoulders, or close-up), and the overall mood of the portrait. I’ll be guiding you through all the options to make sure it feels just right.
A live sitting is ideal, as it allows me to capture the sitter’s energy and take reference photographs directly. However, if this is not possible, I canwork from thee high-quality pictures you provided (preferably taken in natural light).
After the consultation, I will create a series of preliminary sketches to explore different composition ideas. Once we agree on the direction for the portrait, I will provide you with a personalised quote and an estimated timeline for completion. If you are happy with the quote and the proposed vision, a 50% deposit will be required to begin the painting process. This deposit covers the cost of materials and initial work. The remaining balance will be due upon the portrait’s completion.
The finished portrait will be carefully packaged and shipped to your home via courier. Please note that framing, shipping, and delivery costs are additional and will be discussed with you in advance.
The cost of a commissioned portrait depends on various factors, including size, complexity, and materials. Please contact me directly to discuss your requirements, and I will provide a personalized quote based on your specifications.
